Julia is passionate about providing therapy which is practical and helpful for the family as a whole within a strong ‘transdisciplinary’ framework so that children can reach their fullest functional potential. She is able to promote a safe and supportive environment for learning and development.
Alongside her private practice, Julia has spent the last ten years working with an innovative charity run service. This service provided care for families and children with neuro disabilities such as cerebral palsy. Julia was the clinical lead for the child and family services providing direct therapy and support. Special focus of this service was on promoting early intervention and as such Julia worked with babies as young as 6 weeks old. Close links with Neonatal Intensive Care Units meant Julia could support families on their journey once they left the hospital. Julia also promotes early mobility experiences and has set up the Buckinghamshire based Bugzi hub to assess and provide early powered mobility devices.
